I am passionate about creating space for busy women who have forgotten to put themselves on their own ‘to-do’ lists.
I have worked solidly since I was a student, raised three children as a single-mum and at the age of 51, after 22 years working in many different roles within the health & fitness industry, I feel that I’m ready to truly be me and bring the best version of myself to you.
Last year I learned the power of placing my hands on my heart and now I catch myself doing it all the time – just a gentle reminder to myself that ‘I’ve got this’, whatever ‘this’ is in that moment. With my hands on my heart I feel like I am connecting with my soul and taking time to find myself.
In my career I have been influenced by many people who I have been fortunate enough to train with but off all the things I have learned, these two things have stayed with me:
“hit them with NICE” was an expression I heard during a course I did a couple of years ago. It was the start of me thinking about my work in a different way. It helped open my eyes to the fact that fitness is so much more than sets & reps in the gym. It is about how we feel, how we move, how we think about our bodies.
“take time to take time” came up over and over again in my very first massage training course with Jing. I now have these words written on my massage room wall as a reminder for me and my clients to take a moment, take a breath & take time. I feel like I have lived my whole life in a hurry and now, hearing this, I know that I don’t need to. I don’t have any tattoos (and never will do) but if I was going to have one, this might be it!
take time retreats has been in my head & my heart for years. I just needed to wait until I had learned these two lessons before I could bring it to you.
